Corn For Dinner!
Say "Corn!"
Highlights of the week so far:
- 20 ears of corn picked from our garden.
- Cute smiles from our boys.
- Talking around the burning straw pile in the dark.
- 8 more weeks until Emma Rose is born. (approximately)
- Getting an adjustment today and feeling much better than I was yesterday.
- Eating cabbage and sausage last night which were both raised on the Meyer’s place.
- Trying to pretend that I don’t have “blogger’s block” by posting a list instead of an actual “article.”
- Deciding to put off starting school until next Monday instead of this week.
The corn looks great! Ours didn’t do so well, very skimpy in fact. The wind and rain also knocked down all the stalks over the weekend so we had to just strip what we had and make do. It is so fun to get all this good stuff from the garden though!
Looks yummy. I can’t wait til our corn is ready. We may not get much, our corn is really struggling. But hopefully we’ll get some.
And I put school off too! I think it’s a syndrome of some sort! (smile)
